Recipe of the Season – Beer Syrup Candied Bacon
Ingredients
1/2 cup Beer Syrup – any flavor *sold at Blooms
1 lb Thick Cut Bacon
Wire rack to bake and cool
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lay the bacon on a wire rack set on a baking sheet. Cook for 15 minutes and remove from oven to flip the bacon. Cook for an additional 10 minutes and then remove to glaze both sides of bacon with Beer Syrup. Return bacon to oven and cook to your preferred level of crispy. Remove bacon and glaze both sizes before placing on a wire cooling rack, allowing bacon to stand for 15 minutes before serving.
Pro Tip: Chop up the Beer Candied Bacon and use as a topping for ice cream or mix it into your waffle, cookie, or brownie batter for the savory and sweet lover in all of us.
